After six teams from the Southeastern Conference entered the NCAA Super Regional Round, only two are advancing to the College World Series, with the potential of a third team depending on the results Monday night.

The SEC began with 10 teams in the postseason. The Regional Round weekend eliminated four of those teams: Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Texas A&M.

That left LSU, Florida, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee in the Super Regional Round.

Alabama fell to Wake Forest in two games in the Winston-Salem Super Regional. LSU, meanwhile, defeated Kentucky in two games in the Baton Rouge Super Regional to eliminate the Wildcats.

Florida swept South Carolina in two games to eliminate the Gamecocks from the Gainesville Super Regional.

With Florida and LSU locking in their spots in the College World Series, that just leaves Tennessee as the Vols fight for their fate on Monday night in Game 3 of the Hattiesburg Super Regional. Tennessee will take on Southern Miss at 6:00 p.m. ET on Monday.

If the Vols win, Tennessee will advance to the College World Series as the SEC’s third and final team in Omaha. If Tennessee loses, though, it will just be Florida and LSU representing the SEC.
