With the Tennessee Football regular season now in the rearview mirror, it’s a great time to look back on the 12-game stretch and the betting lines that came with it.
While sports betting and gambling aren’t for everyone, the spread does give a good sense of how Tennessee stacked up against extended expectations over the 12-game stretch.
Overall, Josh Heupel’s Volunteers finished with a 9-3 record against the spread. The only times where Tennessee did not cover the spread were in both losses (Georgia, South Carolina) and the close five-point win against Florida near the beginning of the season.
Remarkably enough, Tennessee was the favorite in all but two games this season, drawing a +9 line against Alabama at home and a +10 line against Georgia on the road.
In addition to the spread, Tennessee hit the over in seven out of the 12 games this season.
